Leading onsite suppliers to the construction industry, ArcGen Hilta has committed to supporting the Lighthouse Club for 2011. Phil Winnington, Commercial Director at ArcGen Hilta explains “Our market-leading SMC TL-90 and SL-90 lighting towers are used in a wide variety of construction, quarrying and rail applications. That’s why we’ve decided to support the construction industry charity. Our aim is to ‘light up’ the Lighthouse Club! For each SMC lighting tower purchased from us between now and the end of the year we’ll donate £10 to the Benevolent Fund and hope to raise up to £1,500.

We’re also determined to help raise awareness of the charity and will be promoting this offer to all our customers as well as featuring it on our website. Everyone at ArcGen Hilta looks forward to presenting the Benevolent Fund with a cheque at the end of the year.”

These are the companies and charitable trusts whose generosity enables our Benevolent Fund to do much of it's work. All have contributed £1,000 or more.

Our Sincere Thanks to…

The United Kingdom Society for Trenchless Technology (UKSTT) for supporting our Benevolent Fund at their Annual Awards Dinner.

The awards are to promote excellence in trenchless technology and the outstanding contributions made by organisations and individuals to the promotion, use and development of Trenchless Technology in the previous calendar year.

At this year’s event they had Gift Aid donation envelopes provided by the Lighthouse Club on the tables and at the end of the night had collected £1,260 for our Benevolent Fund, with a further 28p in every pound donated to be claimed back in Gift Aid! An excellent contribution!

ArcGen Hilta Power-Up ‘The Lighthouse Club’

Anyone For Training?

National Construction College is helping to swell our membership. Over 21,000 people each year go on training courses at one of the 6 college campuses and 60 other locations around the UK. Each of these trainees now gets information about the Lighthouse Club along with their course joining instructions.

Then it's up to you, our existing members, to follow up and recruit these "trainees" as new Lighthouse Club members. If you know of a colleague going on a construction training course, ask them to follow the web-link on their email joining instructions.
