Hey Big Spenders

Calling all members who regularly shop online…

Whether you buy groceries, books, clothes or travel, your favourite online retailers will donate a percentage of your spend to our Benevolent Fund at no cost to you.

Back in 2010 we registered with www.easyfundraising.org.uk. This means every time you buy from over 2,000 of the UK’s best known retailers including Amazon, Ebay, M&S and Debenhams you could help the Benevolent Fund and even save yourself money.

It’s simple and FREE! Simply go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and click on Find a Cause at the top of the page. Type

in Lighthouse Club Benevolent Fund, fll in the short form and you’ve registered. As long as you go through the site to get to the retailers you want they’ll automatically send us a cash donation every time you shop. So far only 2% of members have registered and we’ve already raised over £1,500. Imagine what we could do if we all joined in?

As an added incentive shoppers using Easy Fundraising gain access to exclusive retailer voucher codes so you might raise more while spending less. Everyone’s a winner.

So come on all you online shoppers, whether you spend a lot or just a small amount, if a lot of people put in just a little effort we can make a BIG difference.

Bikes, Boots and Beer

Sound like an fun weekend? Eimear Ruane tells us about an up and coming weekend which offers action junkies all three….

The Josie Reddington Charity Weekend, arranged in memory of Josie Reddington will raise money for causes dedicated to the support and care of people. This year the Lighthouse Club has been chosen along with the Mayo Cancer Support Association and Katie’s Treatment Fund (raising money to help a young lady with bowel cancer). We’re looking for people to join us for what promises to be a really fun weekend and we’ll be raising money for these great causes at the same time.

The event will take place in Bahola Village in Ireland starting on 5th May. You can choose to cycle 11, 22 or 33 miles so there’s something to suit all abilities.

A little saddle sore but ready for some fun we’re offering an evening’s entertainment in The Royal Theatre, Castlebar with live music from The Fureys.

On Sunday after a lie in we’ll don our boots and take a leisurely walk to the summit of Croagh Patrick after which we’ll call at the pub for a well deserved beer!

If you would like to take part in this event which is true to the Lighthouse Club culture of putting the FUN into FUNdraising please register your details at www.josiereddignton.org

Alternatively you can contact me Eimear by email: info@josiereddington.org or call +44 (0)208 327 4194
