Tadano has introduced 4 new all-terrain cranes for worldwide distribution - the GR-800EX GR-600EX GR-500EX GR-300EX (GR-1000XL GR-750XL GR-550XL GR-350XL for North America and South America models).

Tadano rough terrain models account for approximately 30% of the world market share (based on the customers investigation conducted in 2010). To protect and further develop this the company has developed the new models to provide improved machine performance and also with environment-friendly new system.

The new models (except the GR-300EX) adopt a rounded boom structure made of lightweight high-strength and yet high tensile steel. All four models have, according to the company, the longest boom in their respective classes as well as their excellent lifting capacities, thus creating vast work space.

The jib is a 2-stage bi-fold lattice type with 3.5°, 25°or 45° offset (tilt type). These are stored alongside base boom section. Jib length is 10.1 m (33.2 ft) or 17.7 m (58.1 ft).

The four new models, powered by latest US/EU emission compliant Mitsubishi engines have a newly developed environment-friendly functions such as fuel monitor system and eco-mode system (fuel consumption reduction by adjusting an engine speed during crane operation).

The newly developed monitoring system provides improved machine operation: the AML (Automatic Moment Limiter) system will stop the cranes if safety parameters are exceeded. The AML adjusts parameters according to the outrigger extension width.
