cwmags: The Atlas Copco CC 950 with hydraulic rotation device

The Atlas Copco CC 950 with hydraulic rotation device

With an operating weight of 920 kg, the new CC 950 fits is designed for carriers between 9 and 16 tons. “There is much that changes in this excavator class ,” states Wolfgang Hohn, Product Line Manager for Silent Demolition Tools. “ We are seeing a clear trend towards increasingly more versatile carriers which are ready equipped with couplers for a wide range of different attachments.“

The serial-production hydraulic rotation device ensures continuous 360º rotation. This allows attachments to be placed in position quickly and easily for higher productivity. Being able to angle the cutter reduces the number of times the carrier has to be repositioned.

cwmags: The Atlas Copco CC 950 with hydraulic rotation device chart   “The combination of low weight with optimum crushing force (55 tons) is important in terms of cost-effective usage.

If I can use a smaller crusher and, consequently, a smaller excavator for a specific task, then I save on investment and operating costs.”

The CC 950 can be used for light demolition work, such as cutting out masonry and lightly reinforced concrete structures and particularly for interior renovation and gutting.

cwmags: New Instrument Panel on Bobcat 2-5 t.New Instrument Panel on Bobcat 2-5 t.

A new enhanced instrument panel is now standard on all new 2 to 5 tonne Bobcat mini-excavators. The new instrument panel offers a variety of new features.

• Selectable Auxiliary Flow Settings

The selectable auxiliary hydraulic flow function allows easy adjustment of the auxiliary flow according to the type of attachment being used, improving the controllability and productivity of the application. There are three pre-set auxiliary hydraulic modes for various types of attachments: Aux 1 for a low flow attachment such as a tilt bucket; Aux 2 for medium flow for clamp and grapple attachments and Aux 3 for maximum flow when using a breaker, vibratory plate compactor or auger attachment.

• Refuelling Level Indicator

A new feature on the panel is a sound indicator which produces a series of beeps to indicate the fuel level when refuelling. The shorter the intervals become, the nearer the fuel tank is to being full, providing an alert for the operator to prevent spillage due to overfilling, which can easily happen when filling the fuel tank from a jerry can.

Another new feature switches off the lights automatically when the machine has not been operated for 10 minutes, preventing the battery from going flat in the event of the operator forgetting to turn off the lights when they leave the machine. An additional feature to check operating hours allows the operator to push a button on the instrument panel to scroll through the data on ‘hours’, ‘rpm’ and ‘job’.

• Keyless Security

An optional keyless ignition feature makes it possible to secure the excavator without a key. This provides multiple operators, each of whom can have a unique code, with the ability to operate the excavator without having to leave a key in the ignition and acts as a useful deterrent to theft.
