ITALY
Formwork and scaffolding from one source for problem-free construction progress

The complicated architecture of a new cultural complex under construction in Italy required consideration of all aspects of the concrete works. It demands careful planning and coordination to create the optimum solution between the formwork and scaffolding to be used. In addition, the building contractor required large quantities of materials to be available virtually on-demand’ because of the extremely tight construction period.

The German formwork company, PERI, planned a cost-effective solution and supplied the various systems and equipment on a ‘just-in-time’ basis from the on-site rental park.

The contractors could see the benefits in working with one supplier for formwork, shoring and scaffolding, especially on a very demanding time schedule where productivity was key.    Through the compatibility of the formwork, scaffolding and shoring systems, the transfer of loads is optimized along with simplifying the execution of the building work to accelerate construction progress as much as possible.
