Terex Bid-Well to show the 4800 bridge paver with innovations

Terex Bid-Well
to show the
4800 bridge paver
with innovations

Terex Bid-Well concrete paving equipment at World of Concrete 2012 in Las Vegas, will feature the Terex Bid-Well 4800 bridge paver and Terex Bid-Well 2418 work bridge

With standard paving widths exceeding 170 ft (51.8 m), the 4800 paver display unit will be set to 36 ft (11.0 m) wide and will highlight several of the latest advancements including a new style fogging system features all poly tubing to increase up-time and individually controlled spray nozzles to direct the fog to where it’s needed. Also new is a skewable power crown adjuster enabling operators to automatically make changes to the crown when paving bridge decks at the skew angle.

With two new Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) compliant gas engines, the 4800 paver show unit will be equipped with several options that tailor-suit the paver to meet jobsite conditions. The show machine will display two leg options available to paving contractors: a swing leg design for zero-clearance paving; and a pivot leg design for paving cross slopes of 6 to 8 percent.

Joining the 4800 for the first time is the Terex Bid-Well 2418 work bridge, displayed in operating configuration. The 2418 offers a 24 in (61.0 cm) wide walkway over its 18 in (45.7 cm) deep truss frame, allowing crew members to cross freshly laid concrete surfaces to efficiently perform required tasks behind the paver. The smallest of three model range, the 2418 provides up to a 105 ft (32 m) standard operating width, and its telescoping end segments offer up to 10 ft (3.0 m) of leg travel to each side, so the work bridge can adapt to varying deck widths.

Grindex launch new Master SH pump Grindex launch new Master SH pump

The new Master SH is the latest pump from Grindex. It is suitable for submersion depths of 20 m, maximum liquid temperature of 40° and maximum liquid density of 1100 kg/m³. Maximum head height (50 Hz) is 80 m and 90 M (60 Hz). The 60 kg, 3 inch pump retains the proven features of Grindex pumps including SMART motor protection system.

This follows the launch in October of a new and improved range of professional light weight submersible pumps, Micro, Mini and Solid, which were launched at Grindex’ distributor conference in Istanbul a few weeks ago.

The new pumps are designed to be light weight, yet still durable for professional use. They come with an air valve that cools the motor during dry running. To optimize the starting torque, the Mini and Solid pumps feature a separate start capacitor - at this time only 50Hz, a 60 Hz version will have the same performance as previous version of Micro, Macro and Solid. The Mini pump is replacing the Macro pump
