Machines from the Bavarian lift manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG have been used during the construction phases of both the PGE Arena in Gdansk and in Poland’s National Stadium in Warsaw. One winner at the UEFA EURO 2012

Long before members of the various National Football Teams make their way to UEFA EURO 2012, lifts from the company Geda were already involved in the construction of two new Polish stadia.

Machines from the Bavarian lift manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG have been used during the construction phases of both the PGE Arena in Gdansk and in Poland’s National Stadium in Warsaw.

Transport platforms in Gdansk

Through Geda’s partner in Gdansk, the company Blar, a total of four GEDA 500 Z/ZP transport platforms were constructed for the multi-purpose stadium there.

The Geda 500 Z/ZP units were used for the transport of people and materials and were directly fastened to the scaffolding. The construction company was looking for a strong, reliable solution for heavy loads and other work and recognized the main benefits of Geda solution- namely two devices in one!

A construction hoist with a rated load up to 850 kg or a transport platform for a maximum of five people and loads up to 500 kg.

Use of the transport platforms ensured optimum logistics during construction. Of course safety was at the forefront therefore Geda “Comfort” Landing Level Safety Gates were installed for fall protection at the loading/unloading positions, thereby ensuring a safe transfer onto the scaffolding.

The delivery of the platforms with the relevant Landing Level Safety Gates also had great advantages at the time of the on-site final technical commissioning, as the machine and device were commissioned as one unit which of course signified a huge time and above all cost saving for the building company.

Via the Krakow-based company Altus, with whom the company has already been working for many years, four Geda AB 650 suspended working platforms were rented to the local building Suspended working platforms in Warsaw

The company were also involved in the construction of the new National Stadium in Warsaw where the opening match of UEFA EURO 2012 will be played.

Via the Krakow-based company Altus, with whom the company has already been working for many years, four Geda AB 650 suspended working platforms were rented to the local building company.

They also supplied the relevant rust-free height access technology for the execution of corrosion protection work on the beams. The suspended working platforms contained sufficient space to transport both people and material.

The operating height of the suspended working platforms can be adjusted with centimetre-level precision, which means that work can always be carried out at the most ergonomically favourable position. Geda lifts are also to be found in the new stadia in Munich and Bucharest.

Their use in the preparations for UEFA EURO 2012 has illustrates shown that the lifts are flexible to different demands and has the essential service and technical support available worldwide.
