What’s New In Plant & Equipment
The units deliver a low total cost of ownership
and extreme reliability. They are safe and easy to
handle in daily operations.”
The petrol models all come with a large fuel tank, a pro-
tective top cover, engine oil guard, sockets, thermal protec-
tion and recoil start as standard. The QEP-R also includes
AVR, electric start and an insulation monitoring relay.
The QEP-S includes a soundproof canopy to minimize
noise levels for worksites in residential or noise-sensitive
areas.

Atlas Copco Portable PowerStage IV Diesel
Engine For Concrete
Pumps
Since 01/01/2014 in Europe and the USA Stage IV or Tier 4
final applies for mobile construction equipment, including
for stationary concrete pumps. Mobile machinery, which is
taken into service in the respective countries has to comply
with the legal limits of stage IV. Particularly in urban areas
or in environmental zones, these machines can also be used
without any problems.
The reduction of the emission limits for engines from 56
to 560 kW came into force in 2014. The new BSA D4 models
from Putzmeister are fully compliant and comes with effi-
cient exhaust aftertreatment systems.
Putzmeister offers the latest generation of engines with
the stationary pumps BSA 1407 BSA D4 and BSA 1409 D4.

portable
generators
Chicago Pneumatic has launched a new range of port-
able generators, designed to provide a safe and stable
power supply for every type of worksite.
The range comes in two distinct lines. The
Standard
Line
and the
Pro Line
with petrol and diesel engine options
includes Professional, Advanced and Advanced+ models
designed for all-day, intensive heavy-duty applications and
versatility. The Standard Line comprises simple, straightfor-
ward petrol generators designed for occasional use.
Looking more closely at the Pro Line, users can be pro-
tected by an optional Earth Leakage Relay (ELR), while
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) is an option for the
petrol-engine unit that ensures consistent electrical output.
Alongside AVR, these models also protect users with an
isometer protection and thermal protection circuit breaker.
The intuitive instrumentation panel, electric key start
and a number of alarm and shutdown options are easy and
practical to use..
The enclosure has sound insulation, allowing the gen-
erators to be used in sensitive areas. They comply with
European noise regulations.
The petrol-only Standard Line is better suited for private
and professional users who occasionally need a portable
generator. Straightforward and simple, they are designed
to do what is expected from a portable genset.
All models feature a strong main frame with extra rein-
forcement around sensitive components and a protected
electrical panel. Sockets are also covered and recessed for
enhanced protection.
