Hybrid-Dual-Power

Boom Lifts

JLG Industries will showcase its lat-

est product innovations for audiences

from Europe, Africa and the Middle

East at Intermat.

Of particular interest to visitors will

be the new hybrid-powered boom lift,

a new rough terrain scissor lift, new

mid-size boom lifts, a new compact

crawler and the recently launched RS

telehandler.

Dual Power for

Versatility

A hybrid telescopic boom lift, the H340AJ, will represent

the soon-to-be launched series of hybrid machines.

According to JLG, the H340AJ is the industry’s first four-

wheel AC drive.

For outdoors, each machine benefits from the power and

durability of a diesel machine with low emissions and op-

erational savings. However, for working inside or in re-

stricted areas, the boom lift is quickly switched to battery

power, with the same working performance.

The RS telehandler is an interesting concept. Part of

the RS line launched in 2014, it is designed specifically for

the rental markets in Europe/Africa/Middle East (EAME),

Latin America and Asia.

These machines were developed to meet the rental

industry’s demands for simple ownership, clean design and

simple upkeep.

Visitors will be interested to see the world debut of the

company’s X26J Plus compact crawler boom spider lift at

Intermat. So new, there are no photographs available at

this time.

It will be the largest model in the current range, but

still only 1 m wide and 2 m high in transport mode.

It has 249 kg of unrestricted platform capacity, yet still

provides 30% more reach than its predecessor model. The

improved electric motor provides 20 percent more torque

and 43 percent more speed.

XCENTRIC Growth

Established just 5 years ago, when the Xcentric ripper was

displayed at Bauma for the first time, the company has

continued to grow. With many hundreds of units sold

around the world.

Although the company has nothing new to display at

Intermat, the company did tell Contractors World that

the product on display is much more advanced than that

shown 5 years ago.

The range is under continuous development as engi-

neering solutions advance and customer feed back is taken

into consideration, such as all components are made from

castings for extra strength.

Today, there are 9 models to suit excavators from 8 tons

up to 150 tons, and customers

mention increases in production

by a factor 3 to 5.

And things are only going to

get better for the company as they

have reached an agreement with

Komatsu to sell the attachment

through their outlets worldwide.

There will also be a bucket

crusher on the display, but the

company was not saying any more.

That is one we will be following up

on.
