Contractors World International Vol 6 No 4

The latest excavators from Wacker Neuson save up to 20

percent fuel with higher performance to score significant-

ly well in terms of economic and profitable work.

With features such as the load sending hydraulic system

for a simple and precise operation, innovative kinematics

for powerful excavation and a revised machine and cabin

design for an improved all-around visibility of the entire

working area, Wacker Neuson will be setting standards for

precise and efficient work.

Gert Reichetseder, managing director of Wacker Neu-

son Linz GmbH explains:

"The customer and his daily challenges are the

focus of the design and development work at

Wacker Neuson. This is clearly reflected in our

new models of excavators. Technical innovations

provide both a simple and intuitive operation of

the machines as well as efficiency and profitability

in application, especially in tight spaces.

"Above all, high fuel savings of 20 percent

compared to previous models and simultaneous

higher productivity were decisive to all models be-

ing awarded the ECO seal immediately. "

Improved Visibility for the Operator

A good all-around visibility as well as a view of the tracks

and attachment on both sides is indispensable for safe op-

eration and quick working in the construction site sector.

Due to the lateral offset of the boom, as well as the

rounded valve hood to the front, the new excavators meet

these requirements.

A higher torque and the increase of the bucket's angle

of rotation to 200 degrees contribute to improved excava-

tion performance.

Up to five auxiliary control circuits are available with

the new models: the fast, continuous adjustment of the

individual circuits takes place via a "jog dial," a system

that is known from

the automotive in-

Individual stor-

age, as well as set-

tings, of attachments can therefore be performed without

any problems, even during operation.

A 3.5 inch display allows for convenient control of all

equipment functions. In connection with a 7-inch display

that is optionally available, the ET65, EW65 and ET90 ex-

cavators can also be equipped with a rear view camera.

Compact dimensions, wide reach

With the new 6 ton track excavator ET65, the operator

can work safely and accurately even in the tightest of

spaces on the construction site, since the excavator is ex-

tremely compact and manoeuvrable - a low height of just

2.5 meters and a width of less than two meters.

There is an optionally articulated boom for more flex-

ibility, extra reach, digging depth and dumping height.

The ET90 10-ton track excavator is among the market

leaders in terms of performance with excellent engine

and hydraulic performance.

On the go on its own axles

Wacker Neuson is introducing another model in the 6-ton

range with the EW65 wheeled excavator.

It is characterized by the infinitely variable drive sys-

tem up to a maximum speed of 30 km/h in combination

with compact dimensions.

The wheeled excavator is also an optimal equipment

carrier: This is ensured by five control circuits (three are

adjustable), load sending hydraulics and a closed driving

circuit for optimal synchronization and no impairments

between the working and driving circuit.
