Featuring 2.19 litre 38 horsepower, EPA Tier 4 final,

4D88E-7 engines, the new PC45MR-5 and PC55MR-5 use

up to five percent less fuel than their predecessors with

no loss to performance or productivity.

The new Tier 4 Final engine is not only more fuel ef-

ficient, it has an after-treatment system that requires no

diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).

The following features and improvements come stand-

ard on the PC45MR-5 and PC55MR-5 excavators:

match engine speed and pump delivery to the applica-

Tier IV Engine Conversion Kits

Komatsu to provide conversion kits for Tier 4 equip-

ment in countries where Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel

(ULSD) fuel is unavailable

To support current and future demand for pre-owned

machines and fleets in countries where ULSD fuel is not

available, Komatsu will make a new service available

through our authorized Distributors and affiliates, begin-

ning summer, 2015.

Komatsu will make available a conversion kit that re-

moves exhaust gas after-treatment components. This will

allow the machines to run properly, while achieving emis-

sions levels that can be equal to new machines sold by

Komatsu in these markets.
