Coal Mine Opts For Articulated Dump Trucks

The mining company, Rudnik Uglja Gracanica, has chosen

Terex Trucks articulated haulers for work on its Gracanica

open pit coal mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Already a customer, Rudnik Uglja Gracanica has pur-

chased two additional TA300 articulated dump trucks for

hauling coal at the company’s mine bringing the total of

Terex Trucks in the fleet to nine.

The 28 tonne capacity trucks

will work two shifts per day haul-

ing coal from the pit to the storage

yard. The coal is then transported

to a power plant by on-highway

trucks or rail.

Situated 9 km north-west

of Bugojno, the Gracanica mine

measures 2,000 m by 800 m along-

side the river Vrbas.

The trucks are equipped with

independent front suspension

to enable excellent traction con-

trol, making it ideal for the rocky

Bosnian and Herzegovina coal

mine.

The articulated dump truck

has a maximum payload of 28

tonnes (30.9 US tons), and 276 kW

(370 hp) engine power.

The trucks were supplied by Terex Trucks dealer, LAGER

D.O.O. Headquartered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, LAGER

D.O.O covers countries throughout south-east Europe

including Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, FYR

Macedonia and Albany.

Latest Comansa are already working in Norway

Craneway AS, Linden Comansa’s dealer in the Norway, was

the first to purchase the 21LC335 model, of which it now

owns three units.

The 21LC335 tower crane, an update to the 21LC290,

has wasted little time in getting to its

first jobsite, soon after it was available.

The first unit was delivered in June

and since July is already working in

Bekkestua, on the outskirts of Oslo. A

second unit of the 21LC335 was erected

in August.

Both cranes are working for NCC

Construction A/S in the construction of a

shopping and apartments complex.

Craneway’s third unit is working for

Norske Bæresytemer A/S in Røa, close

to Oslo city centre, in the construction

of apartments for senior citizens, with

health care services.
