Innovative Hybrid

Power PodsWin

International

Recognition

The 3-year old, UK company,

Power Saving Solution

,

has developed an innovative range of hybrid power packs

(HPP) that provide power for remote sites using latest

hybrid technology.

Andy Richardson, co-owner, told

Contractors World

International

that although they have a standard range

of products, for hire or purchase, the power pods are

usually extensively modified to meet specific customer

requirements.

Although a relatively new company with latest tech-

nology, they have already establish recognition with UK

organisations including Network Rail and Thames Water

where their solutions have exceeded expectations.

Contractors are also realising the potential to reduce

site costs. That recognition has now spread to other

parts of the world.

J. Murphy & Sons Limited (Murphy) says that they

have reduced carbon emissions by an estimated 22

tonnes per week.

After a full evaluation, Murphy has chosen the Hussh

Pod 30/45 Hybrid Power Pod on hire. The power pods

supplied have been heavily modified to meet the de-

mands of a construction site.

Although power pods can be supplied with their own

generator, Murphy opted to use their existing power

generators to charge the power pod batteries as

required.

These pods provide an alternative power source to

diesel alone and Murphy has made the decision to use

them across 20 Murphy sites nationwide.

Murphy say that the pods offer many benefits

including reduced fuel consumption, fewer refills, less

noise and a significant reduction in CO²

emissions. There is also less mainte-

nance costs along with extended

lifespan.

With various models to choose from,

Power Saving Solutions can provide a

clean, silent solution to off-grid power

supplies.
