Carmix 2016

Innovations

Bauma was once again the launching platform

for innovations from the Italian company,

Metalgalante S.p.A recognised for its Carmix

mobile concrete equipment. Continued in-

vestment shows the company’s opti-

mism in the future with several new

products being introduced this year.

The most recent being the introduction of a new line

with the TrailerPump 15 - a towed development which

is designed to transport concrete even higher and fur-

ther, while remaining compatible with the company’s

entire range of self-loading cement mixers, from Carmix.

A length of 4,100 mm, with a height of 1,540 mm

and width of 1,495 mm, the TrailerPump is compact, for

fast roadability and easy to manoeuvre on the worksite,

allowing it to reach particularly high or difficult to reach

areas.

A powerful twin-cylinder piston pump with a hydrau-

lic control ensures a capacity of up to 15 m³ an hour at

a pressure of 70 bars through a 100 mm outlet. Power

is via a Volvo 3 cylinder engine rated at 23 kW.

The large hopper (240 litres) with the agitator, the

grid with a 12V electro-vibrator and the EasySpritz system

(which optimizes the pumping performance even in the

event of a small load) are key factors that help increase

productivity on the worksite. Designed to handle a

variety of mixes, it can handle gravel granularity up to

25 mm.

The 1,550 kg trailer mounted unit features parking

brake and lighting system

All operating parameters are available through elec-

tromechanical devices, while the pump can be controlled

through a remote control with four functions. These

features are in line with the Carmix philosophy: offering

control tools to control and monitor the work

to its users.

In recent years, the

company has de-

veloped a

series of technologies studied to support the work of

professionals. Amongst these, Concrete-Mate is the

weighing system that provides high accuracy for the

preparation of concrete.

The Future is Now at Bauma 2016

During Bauma 2016, the company also introduced sev-

eral other new products including the Carmix 3.5 TT - the

first machine with Promix technology.

This small mobile batching plant is adaptable to site

requirements and is extremely easy to use. Just over 5

m long with the front loader raised, it can operate in

restricted areas. The barrel can also be rotated at 300°

to load from over 2 m on all four sides of the machine.

The short turning radius of 3,700 mm externally provides

good manoeuvrability.

The 7,400 kg machine has a 6,860 mm maximum

length and is 4,210 mm high (with hopper raised). Travel

width is 2,420 mm with an additional 900 mm when

loading from the side. Maximum travel speed is 25 km/h

with power delivered by a Perkins 1104 D-44 TA 4-cyl-

inder engine rated at 83 kW. Hydrostatic drive provides

4 wheel drive and steering. The model can cope with

gradients up to 30%.

First With Promix Technology

This is the first machine to feature Promix - a new digital

data monitoring system for concrete.

With this feature, the operator

can control the machine with

a constant flow of informa-

tion on the slump, temper-

ature, humidity, rotational

speed of the mixer and an

indicator showing when
