The Magni family has a long tradition in the design and construction of machines that started after the second world war . The experience of more of 30 years of Riccardo Magni, president of the company, in the telescopic handler design and construction, has made Magni Telescopic Handler the manufacturer of the widest range of rotating and heavy telescopic handlers with the highest technology.

LiuGong & ZF celebrate their first JV axle

LiuGong and ZF held a celebration recently for the completion of the first prototype JV axle (AP3000), which was produced by their new Joint venture company, ZF Liuzhou Axle Co. Ltd.

It is not the first time these two parties have worked together to promote the progress of construction industry. In 1995, LiuGong and ZF started their long term relationship by setting up “Liuzhou ZF Machinery” to produce construction transmissions and spare parts. It has been successfully serving joint venture partner LiuGong and third parties with construction machinery transmissions for years.

After the continued success of the first JV with ZF, LiuGong and ZF built a new joint venture together last September, focusing on wheel loader axles that are specially tailored for the requirement of developing markets. Located in the same city together with LiuGong, the new ZF Liuzhou Axle Co. Ltd. is targeting an increase in annual volume to more than 30,000 units by 2018.

LiuGong and ZF building a new joint venture axle company in Liuzhou

ZF and the construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong are to build a new joint venture it has been announced. The new company will produce wheel loader axles that are specially tailored for the requirements of the Chinese market. In the long run approximately 190 employees will be working at Liuzhou Axle Co. Ltd. and more than 30,000 of the newly designed axles will be delivered to the joint venture partner LiuGong and the third market.

Since 1995, ZF and LiuGong have been operating a joint venture company in Liuzhou, in the south of China. The 300-person company has been serving the joint venture partner LiuGong and the third market with construction machinery transmissions and axles for years. Now the two parties have decided to further their cooperation in the field of construction equipment axles.

says Wilhelm Rehm, Member of the Board of ZF. He is also responsible for the Industrial Technology Division which includes the Business Unit of Off-Highway Systems. The new axle range will be technically reliable and favorable in price.

Terex Corporation Announces New Chinese Crane Joint Venture Partner – SINOMACH Heavy Industry

Terex Corporation has announced that it has partnered with China SINOMACH Heavy Industry Corporation (Sinomach) as its new strategic partner for Sichuan Changjiang Engineering Crane Co., Ltd.

SCE Crane is a leading producer of on-highway truck cranes in China, with a product range from 8 to 160 ton lifting capacity. A signing ceremony was held by Terex, China SINOMACH Heavy Industry Corporation, and Luzhou Shenli to formally announce the agreement on March 21.

German Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and China Premier Wen Jiabao visit Herrennecht plant

The German Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited the Herrenknecht plant (HTE) in Guangzhou on February 3, 2012. German high technology is very much in demand on the Chinese growth market – tunnel boring machines from Herrenknecht are used in many major infrastructure projects in China.

Guangzhou, China/Schwanau, Germany, February 3, 2012. On February 3, 2012, Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, together with Wen Jiabao, Premier of the People’s Republic of China, visited the Herrenknecht plant in Guangzhou as part of her trip to China. The delegation included, among others, 20 high-level representatives of German industry. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Martin Herrenknecht, Chairman of the Board of Management of Herrenknecht AG, presented the company to Federal Chancellor Merkel and Premier Wen, and talked about important Chinese, but also international reference projects. In addition, he introduced a tunnel boring machine, an Earth Pressure Balance Shield with a diameter of 6.95 meters, which is being used in the construction of the Metro Line 2 in Dongguan.

Herrenknecht has been represented on the Chinese growth market since the delivery of the first machine for the construction of the Beijing metro in 2000. In the meantime, Herrenknecht is generating around 20 percent of its group sales in China. The huge economic growth and increasing urbanization result in a high demand for efficient underground traffic and supply infrastructures. Up to now, Herrenknecht technology is being used in 275 projects, mostly for inner-city tunnel construction. As many as 480 kilometers of tunnel tubes were built using Herrenknecht technology over the past years, while a further 200 kilometers are being planned. For metro construction alone, 172 machines have been and are still being used in 18 cities.

LiuGong completes first overseas acquisition

LiuGong Machinery Corp. has finalized its agreement to acquire HSW (Huta Stalowa Wola) and its distribution subsidiary, Dressta Co, Ltd., company executives announced. The agreement was signed by both companies’ executives in Warsaw with celebration ceremonies following at the Baranów Sandomierski Castle in Baranów Sandomierski, Poland.

David Beatenbough, currently Vice President of Research and Development for LiuGong, has been named Chairman of the Board of the new entity, LiuGong Machinery (Poland) sp z o.o. The transaction is LiuGong’s first outright acquisition outside its domestic market.

Sany Reveals First Germany-Made Equipment

Recently, Sany’s first product made in Germany, a 12 m3 dry concrete mixer, was proved qualified through trial use. The customer was satisfied with its performance after it completed over 1000 m3 concrete pouring and signed for acceptance of the machine.

On hearing the news, Sany’s Italian dealer, CGT, congratulated Sany Germany and said that owing to the product’s high quality, it is confident to sell over 50 units of such concrete mixers in the coming 2012.

Powerscreen appoints strategic distributor in Mongolia

China: Caterpillar to open facility to product hydraulic excavator undercarriage components

Caterpillar Inc has announced that it plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Construction and modifications to pre-existing buildings will commence in 2011, with production scheduled for mid-2012. The facility will produce undercarriage components and track assemblies, which are utilized on Cat hydraulic excavators.

“This new facility is our latest strategic investment to continue expanding our presence and capacity in the Asia/Pacific region,” said Stu Levenick, Caterpillar Group President with responsibility for Customer and Dealer Support. “Together with our joint venture, AsiaTrak, Ltd., in Tianjin, China, which also manufactures undercarriage components and track, Caterpillar is well positioned to meet the long-term demands of customers in China and Asia/Pacific.”
