Groundforce appoints European sales director

Groundforce appoints European sales director – Nigel Robbins rejoins Groundforce in a new role.

Specialist ground engineering and equipment supplier Groundforce has further stepped up its focus on Europe by appointing a new sales director for the region.

Nigel Robbins rejoins the company after almost four years in Australia setting up a new division of top-end hydraulic ground shoring solutions for a company he had also worked with previously.

As well as this, he brings to the European sales director role for Groundforce a total of more than 12 years’ experience with Vp plc in positions ranging from business development manager for ESS Safeforce, regional sales director for Hire Station, and regional sales director and national technical sales manager for Groundforce.

Bronze Artwork Honours ‘Mr JCB’ on the Centenary of his Birth

The centenary of the birth of JCB’s Founder has been marked with the unveiling of a specially commissioned bronze bust.

Joseph Cyril Bamford CBE was born on June 21st, 1916 at the family home, The Parks, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, the son of Cyril and Dolores Bamford. As a youngster playtime was spent building cars and boats – early signs of an inventive flair which would see him become one of Britain’s most celebrated engineers.

TEREX CORPORATION ANNOUNCES SENIOR LEADERSHIP CHANGES

Terex Corporation has announced the following senior executive changes:

• Tim Ford, currently President, Terex Cranes, is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities.

• With Mr. Ford’s departure, Ken Lousberg, currently President of Terex China, will take on the role of President of Terex Cranes as well as the responsibility for Latin America previously with Mr. Ford. While Mr. Lousberg will retain responsibility for China, a Country Leader for our Chinese business will be named as soon as possible to help coordinate our business in China reporting to Mr. Lousberg. Mr. Lousberg joined Terex through the Genie acquisition in 2002 and has held several senior management positions at various Terex operations.

Terex Construction appoints David Harris to quality role

Terex Construction has appointed David Harris as Quality and Compliance Manager. With more than 25 years in the automotive industry, David brings a wealth of experience from organisations such as Nissan, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

Focusing specifically on the ongoing implementation of first-rate procedures and processes at the Coventry site, David will also take the lead on further developing the wider team’s skills and capabilities.

Groundforce strengthens its position in Europe

Excavation support specialists Groundforce is stepping up its presence in Europe with the appointment of Peter Richardson to head up the major projects team for Europe.

Peter Richardson, who has represented Groundforce since 2008 advising on marketing and acquisition of major shoring projects in Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland and France, has been appointed as director of major projects, Europe.

His new role will include the continued acquisition of major project work across the EU, together with forming a dedicated major projects team for the continent complementing and leveraging the existing UK business

JLG Reorganizes Global Access Work Platform Marketing Team

JLG Industries, Inc., a global leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, has reorganized its aerial work platform (AWP) product marketing team.

Jeff Ford, currently global category director for boom lifts, will become director of global strategy and business development. Ford will lead market, customer, and competitive assessments, long-range strategic planning, strategic pricing initiatives, and development of new market and business opportunities.

Miller UK invests for the future

The very successful manufacturing company, Miller UK, is investing heavily to enhance production processes and product availability in preparation for global expansion over the next decade.

Miller UK is already a world leader in the design and manufacture of attachments for earthmoving equipment and has recently launched a range of hydraulic breakers to its product line.

To achieve its ambition growth plans, the company’s executive team has been strengthened with the strategic appointments of Group Managing Director, Mike Askew and Global Sales and Marketing Director, Brendan Quill.

CDE Strengthens Position in the Gulf

CDE Global, the manufacturer of modular materials washing equipment, has announced a new addition to the team with the appointment of Mr. Ruchin Garg as Business Development Manager for The Gulf.

Mr Garg will oversee the development of the CDE project portfolio in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman and joins the CDE team having previously been involved in the development of the CDE Asia mining business in India.

Speaking about the appointment CDE regional manager for Middle East and Africa, Mr Iain Walker said

“Ruchin is a welcome addition to our team as we seek to build on the successes we have enjoyed in recent years as we help operators in the region to enhance the efficiency and profitability of their operations. Our modular product range allows us to meet the demand for rapid deployment and minimum footprint which has grown significantly in recent years.”

Indexator changes ownership structure

The innovative companies. Indexator Rototilt System and Indexator Rotator System, have changed the structure of the company to create a more stable foundation for further business and simultaneously strengthen local commitment .

Until now, the family-owned parent company, Indexator Group, has been the owner of two subsidiaries . The new structure will see Hans Pia Jonsson as principal owner of Indexator Rotator System , while Anders Jonsson becomes the principal owner of Indexator Rototilt System . The new arrangement, with the main owners in each company, will replaced the existing group structure with effect on 1 October 2014 .

The company will continue to cooperate in areas of expertise such as product innovation and material development.
