CASE will be showcasing at IRE 2017

CASE Construction Equipment will be showcasing the new range of C Series mini excavators at the 4th International Rental Exhibition (IRE) which takes place in Amsterdam, from the 2nd to the 4th May 2017. The line-up will include 3 of the 6 recently launched models: a CASE CX18C, a CX26C and a CX60C.

IPAF Summit and IAPAs on 4 April 2017

The 2017 IPAF Summit and International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) will take place on 4 April 2017. The venue will be announced on 17 March 2016 at the end of the 2016 IAPAs, which are being held in Madrid, Spain.

The IPAF Summit conference draws together senior representatives from the access industry around the world to discuss and debate the latest technical, safety and business developments in this fast-growing sector. It has built up a tradition of challenging pre-conceptions and providing delegates with valuable take-home messages that contribute toward a professional and safe powered access industry.

Australia: Hunter Mining Show’s unique approach resonates with suppliers

The Hunter Mining Show’s unique approach of a high level of engagement with the regional community has resonated with industry suppliers, resulting in very strong levels of support for the event from regional, national and international suppliers.

The Show, which will be held from March 12-14 in Singleton Council’s Civic Centre – in the heart of the Hunter mining region – incorporates a Community Day and Street Parade aimed at engaging the community across all sectors.

It is being held in conjunction with the inaugural Hunter Coal Festival, which is being run across the entire Hunter region from March 12 to 29.

BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA to move to a three-year cycle after 2015

Africa’s largest trade fair for the construction machinery and mining industry celebrated its premiere in 2013. The next BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA takes place at the Johannesburg Expo Centre (JEC) from September 15 to 18, 2015.

Following next year’s exhibition, BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA will move to a three-year cycle, meaning the next fair will then be held in 2018. This decision was made after close consultation with local and international industry representatives who recommended the three-year cycle for the markets of Africa.

bauma Africa renamed: BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA

New dates: September 15 to 18, 2015 in Johannesburg

The first event was held under the name of bauma Africa, and it celebrated a successful premiere with 754 exhibitors from 38 countries and 14,700 visitors from over 100 countries. As part of their cooperation on international construction machinery events, Messe München and AEM announced at bauma in 2013 their intention to set up a joint venture in Africa. This joint venture will be organizing the upcoming trade show as BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA. The event will retain the current successful exhibition team and its CEO Elaine Crewe.

Eugen Egetenmeir, Managing Director of Messe München, explains:

“Both partners have agreed on the new event name of BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA. This new, joint name reflects the close and trusting cooperation between Messe München and AEM.”

Terex Construction in Scotland Hosts International Visitiors

The home of Terex trucks in Motherwell, Scotland, was abuzz recently as more than 100 Terex distributors and customers from around the world gathered to find out more about the global manufacturer’s earthmoving machines. Attendees travelled from Africa, Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East to see the manufacturing facility where sheets of metal are transformed into rigid and articulated dump trucks, some of which have payloads of up to 100 tons.

During the event, visitors toured the facility – which has more than 60 years of experience in manufacturing trucks – where they had the opportunity to see each stage of the manufacturing process, from fabrication and assembly to painting and quality checks

Alimak Hek success at Bauma 2013

Bauma 2013 was a great success for Alimak Hek.

During the show, Alimak Hek received orders for 20 construction hoist units for Brazil and are in final negotiation for an additional 30 hoist cars to the market that can all be traced back to Bauma. Furthermore, the company sold more than 10 transport platforms to Germany and the Middle East. Alimak Hek received inquiries for over 130 construction hoists from Latin American visitors and over 50 transport platforms and mast climbing work platforms from visitors that came from all around the world.

Hyundai Heavy & Cummins Set Up Earthmmover Engine Joint Venture

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI)), the world’s largest shipbuilder and a leading construction equipment maker, announced today that it signed an agreement with Cummins, the world’s largest construction equipment engine maker to establish an engine factory for earthmovers.

Hyundai Heavy and Cummins each invested USD 333 million for the joint venture, named Hyundai Cummins Engine Company. The facctory will start production from 2014 with an annnual production capacity of 50,000 engines.

The siging ceremony, held at Hyundai Heavy’s headquarters in Ulsan, Korea, was attended by Mr. Rich Freeland, president of Cummins, Mr. Choe Byeong-ku, CEO of Hyundai Heavy’s Construction Equipment Division, and Mr. Kim Jeong-hwan, CEO of Hyundai Heavy’s Engine & Machinery Division.

Bauma 2013 full booked!

Already – eleven months before bauma 2013 opens – all space at the show is fully booked. This International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment has a waiting list for all sections of the exhibition. And this is despite the fact that the exhibition space allocated to the event has been extended to a record 570,000 square meters.

For this event, the biggest trade show in the world – taking place in Munich from April 15 to 21, 2013 – a further 15,000 square meters of space has been made available in the north-west corner of the exhibition site. Georg Moller, Exhibition Group Director at Messe München International:

“With this additional space we can now admit more exhibitors than at the last event. Nevertheless it is still not possible to accommodate all those who want to take part, or to meet in full the space requirements of all participants.”
