Jay Franzak, who has worked in the equipment rental industry for almost 30 years in sales and management positions, has been appointed eastern United States regional manager for Acme Lift Co., the world’s largest wholesale rental company.
“We welcome Jay and believe his exceptional record of customer service and rental acumen will help Acme Lift better serve our Atlantic Coast customers with local and personal attention,” said Woody Weld, Acme Lift chief executive officer. “Jay believes in mutually beneficial relationships and has the ability and authority to quickly solve our customers’ re-rental challenges in the eastern United States and Canada.”
Steve Nadelman, president and chief operating officer of Acme Lift, said, “Franzak’s strong operating background – including management jobs at the retail branch and district levels – gives him a first-hand understanding of the needs of our re-rental customers and the experience to take creative approaches to resolve any challenges.”
Franzak worked for 14 years at Hertz Equipment Rental Corp., starting as a sales coordinator in 1983, then working his way up to sales representative, branch manager, northeastern regional sales director and finally southeastern regional manager – a job he held from 1996 to 1997. “I am very excited to join the Acme Lift team,” he said. “Acme Lift has a reputation of providing the highest quality customer service and I look forward to continuing that tradition. “
He joined United Rentals in 1997 as a district manager, was promoted to northeastern regional sales and marketing manager in 2006, then became northeastern regional national accounts manager for two years beginning in 2008.
