Germany: Demanding lift of 500 tonne generator

A Terex CC 2800-1 crawler crane owned by Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH recently unloaded a 500 tonne power plant generator from a Rhine barge and placed it on a special-purpose goods vehicle at the Port of Krefeld.

“In addition to the Terex CC 2800-1’s technical capabilities and 600 tonne lifting capacity, the high level of cost-effectiveness with which we can operate it was a decisive factor. In fact, it was what enabled us to submit a competitive quote for the project,” explains Thomas Spangemacher, Project Manager, Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung.
