Alimak Group acquires Australian Facade Access Group

Alimak Group, the vertical access solution company, acquires the leading global BMU (Building Maintenance Unit) provider Facade Access Group.

Australian based company, Facade Access Group, has a global market leading position in permanent Building Maintenance Units, BMU solutions, based on high safety standards and with a long lifecycle. The company addresses the market via two brands; CoxGomyl and Manntech. Through this acquisition Alimak Group strengthens and broadens the product portfolio, expands the existing footprint and business into a global adjacent niche market within vertical access while benefitting from a healthy underlying growth in the BMU-market.

DEUTZ supplies Terex with Xchange engines  

The DEUTZ Corporation based in Georgia in the United States and Terex, the multinational manufacturer of powered access equipment, have concluded to expand their relationship to the field of reconditioning.

Under this new arrangement, DEUTZ AG’s American subsidiary will supply Terex with exchange engines for reconditioning its Genie aerial working platforms (AWP). DEUTZ sells its exchange engines under the brand name DEUTZ Xchange.

Alimak signs construction elevator orders in India

Alimak Group has received two orders for construction elevators in India to be delivered during the first and second quarter of 2016. The total order value is 21 MSEK $2.46 million).

The new orders of premium and mid market construction hoists will be delivered to construction customers in India.

Many of Alimak´s construction hoists are based on modular designs, which provide flexibility in both size and capacity for use in a variety of applications, including construction and refurbishment of high-rise buildings, bridges, chimneys and façades. The modular design also mean reduced time for erection of equipment and optimized cost for maintenance.

DENMARK: Steiness Liftcenter Takes Delivery of Country’s First Two Geni SX-150 Boom Lifts

Following increasing demand for higher booms, access equipment re-rental company Steiness Liftcenter, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, has taken delivery of two Genie SX-150 telescopic boom lifts. The machines were officially handed over to Poul Steiness, CEO on 31st July, marking one of the first deliveries of Genie SX-150 lifts.

The latest addition to the Genie boom lift family, the Genie SX-150 is ideal for the rental market, with four pre-programmable platform heights (46 m (151 ft), 41.2 m (135 ft), 36.6 m (120 ft) and 30.5 m (100 ft)) and easy transportation thanks to the XC-Chassis design which enables transport on a standard flat-bed truck.

IPAF Summit and IAPAs on 4 April 2017

The 2017 IPAF Summit and International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) will take place on 4 April 2017. The venue will be announced on 17 March 2016 at the end of the 2016 IAPAs, which are being held in Madrid, Spain.
