AUSTRALIA: Alimak Group signs new Construction and Rental orders with Construction Company Lendlease

Alimak Group signs new Construction and Rental orders with Construction Company Lendlease worth approximately SEK 53 million in Sydney, Australia.

Alimak Group, market leader in vertical access solutions, has been awarded the contract to provide equipment and services on Crown Towers in Sydney, Australia.

The orders include high performance Construction Hoists with related services for the vertical access systems during the project. The project will run until 2020 with most of the equipment being delivered during 2017 and 2018. Alimak has been involved in previous projects with Lendlease and are very pleased to see a continued trust and interest from the company who are constructing Sydney’s first six-star luxury hotel resort.

CASE will be showcasing at IRE 2017

CASE Construction Equipment will be showcasing the new range of C Series mini excavators at the 4th International Rental Exhibition (IRE) which takes place in Amsterdam, from the 2nd to the 4th May 2017. The line-up will include 3 of the 6 recently launched models: a CASE CX18C, a CX26C and a CX60C.

CASE announces exclusive mini-excavator relationship with Hyundai Heavy Industries

CASE Construction Equipment announces a new exclusive agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industries for the production and development of mini-excavators.

Under the agreement, which also includes OEM supply, component and spare parts supply to CNH Industrial, CASE will be able to produce models of up to five tons at its plant in San Mauro, Italy. The two companies will also start a joint development program for new models introduction. This agreement applies globally, excluding the South Korean market, and has a ten year term with the option for renewal.

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Incorporated, the world’s largest industrial auctioneer and a leading equipment distributor and IronPlanet, a leading online marketplace for used heavy equipment and other durable asset sales, today jointly announced that they have entered into an agreement under which Ritchie Bros. will acquire IronPlanet for approximately US$758.5 million, subject to customary closing adjustments.

Yanmar Take Over Terex compact construction equipment

Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. concluded a final agreement with Terex Corporation to acquire Terex Corporation’s German compact construction equipment business for approximately US $60 million. Terex carries out the production and sale of wheel loaders, midi/mini excavators, wheel excavators, and other products in Europe through this business. Included in the acquisition is the manufacturing facility located in Crailsheim, Germany and the parts distribution center located in Rothenberg, Germany.

This acquisition will allow Yanmar to further actively develop their business in the small to medium sized construction machinery market in Europe by collectively utilizing the sales and service networks, and industry product development and production knowhow of both companies.

Alimak signs construction elevator orders in India

Alimak Group has received two orders for construction elevators in India to be delivered during the first and second quarter of 2016. The total order value is 21 MSEK $2.46 million).

The new orders of premium and mid market construction hoists will be delivered to construction customers in India.

Many of Alimak´s construction hoists are based on modular designs, which provide flexibility in both size and capacity for use in a variety of applications, including construction and refurbishment of high-rise buildings, bridges, chimneys and façades. The modular design also mean reduced time for erection of equipment and optimized cost for maintenance.

Atlas Copco Aquires Varisco Pumps

Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has agreed to acquire Varisco, an Italian pump manufacturer with a global sales network.

Varisco is based in Padua near Venice, Italy, and had revenues in 2014 of €30 million. It employs about 135 people.

Founded in 1932, Varisco is known around the world for the design and manufacture of high-quality pumps used by a wide range of customers. The pumps are typically used to remove unwanted water or other liquids in the construction, mining, and oil and gas industries; they are also used in industrial process plants and for emergency services in case of floods.

Is this a blip or a trend? U.S. Construction Equipment Exports Still in Decline

The latest reports from the USA Association of Equipment Manufacturer (AEM) shows that construction equipment exports from the US continue to decline. Is this a reason for concern or just a temporary blip? Will it be a devoloping trend sending the industry into another slump?

Hitachi Construction Machinery announces new dealer in Slovakia

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV has appointed a new dealer for customers in Slovakia. EURO stroj Slovakia is based in Bratislava and offers the complete range of Hitachi construction equipment. This includes mini, medium and large Zaxis excavators, rigid dump trucks and ZW wheel loaders. It also distributes special application machines, light compaction equipment and Hitachi Sumitomo crawler cranes.

The company was founded by Peter Majoroš in May 2010 as Austro BMH s.r.o. It was renamed EURO stroj Slovakia in March this year, shortly after it became the official Hitachi dealer for the country.

Case Crowns its Best Operators at the 2015 Rodeo International Final

For the second year running, Janne Ensio Leppånen from Finland was Overall Winner at the 2015 Case Rodeo International Final, the annual competition for the best construction equipment operators.

The event was held from October 16th to 18th at the Case Customer Centre in Monthyon, near Paris. Leppånen emerged victorious over 43 highly skilled operators representing 18 countries, including Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Baltic countries, the Netherlands, Finland and UK which took the ‘Winning Team’ award based on the excellent results of its drivers. All the finalists who took part were the winners of the national Rodeo competitions.
