Case Crowns its Best Operators at the 2015 Rodeo International Final

For the second year running, Janne Ensio Leppånen from Finland was Overall Winner at the 2015 Case Rodeo International Final, the annual competition for the best construction equipment operators.

The event was held from October 16th to 18th at the Case Customer Centre in Monthyon, near Paris. Leppånen emerged victorious over 43 highly skilled operators representing 18 countries, including Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Baltic countries, the Netherlands, Finland and UK which took the ‘Winning Team’ award based on the excellent results of its drivers. All the finalists who took part were the winners of the national Rodeo competitions.

Win Win for Alimak Hek with $3 million orders

Alimak Group (Alimak), the vertical access solution company, has received a $1.80 million order in Australia regarding construction hoists at the same time the company received an order for $1.3 million from the USA.

The new orders includes construction hoists in single and twin cage configurations to be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016.

TEREX CORPORATION ANNOUNCES SENIOR LEADERSHIP CHANGES

Terex Corporation has announced the following senior executive changes:

• Tim Ford, currently President, Terex Cranes, is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities.

• With Mr. Ford’s departure, Ken Lousberg, currently President of Terex China, will take on the role of President of Terex Cranes as well as the responsibility for Latin America previously with Mr. Ford. While Mr. Lousberg will retain responsibility for China, a Country Leader for our Chinese business will be named as soon as possible to help coordinate our business in China reporting to Mr. Lousberg. Mr. Lousberg joined Terex through the Genie acquisition in 2002 and has held several senior management positions at various Terex operations.

Student Internship Programme Aims To Inspire The Next Generation Of Construction Professionals

Global equipment solutions provider, Terex Construction, has announced the appointment of three placement students for its 2015/16 internship programme. The practical training scheme, which is run in partnership with Harper Adams University, will see the second year off-road vehicle design students undertake a 12-month placement at the Terex manufacturing facility in Coventry, UK.

From new product development and factory operations management to equipment testing and industry research, each student will get hands-on training experience with a number of different roles within the business; developing practical skills to further support their academic studies.

Case to run daily visits to Paris Customer Centre for Intermat visitors

Case Construction Equipment will run two daily visits to the Case Customer Centre Paris every day of the Intermat exhibition in April – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Visitors to the show will be able to take the Case shuttle to the Case Customer Centre located in nearby Monthyon, where they will be able to experience a wide range of machinery in action and test drive the new models in job site working conditions on the demonstration and testing grounds.

New Hitachi Construction Machinery dealer for Romania

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV has appointed a new dealer for its customers in Romania. Utirom Invest SRL is located on the outskirts of Bucharest with a 4,000 m² workshop, warehouse and office space. The company will distribute a wide range of Hitachi equipment, including Zaxis-5 excavators (mini, medium and large), ZW-5 wheel loaders, rigid dump trucks and Hitachi-Sumitomo cranes.

Led by General Manager Claudiu Barbulescu, the company currently has 11 employees and plans to expand its personnel later in the year. Its strategy for the Romanian market is focused on providing a first-class after-sales service.

Terex Construction secures Saudi Arabia sales contract

Terex Construction has announced an international sales deal in Saudi Arabia. The agreement, which was coordinated through its distributor in Jeddah, The Middle East Development Company (MEDCO), will see 20 Terex site dumpers manufactured and supplied before the end of 2015.

The specialist two-tonne power tip units, which are produced at the Terex facility in Coventry, UK, will be used in the development of Saudi Arabia’s Metro project in Riyadh. Part of the Riyadh Public Transport Project (RPTP), the infrastructure development programme will feature in the country’s largest public transport network and create more than 15,000 jobs nationwide.

Terex Construction appoints David Harris to quality role

Terex Construction has appointed David Harris as Quality and Compliance Manager. With more than 25 years in the automotive industry, David brings a wealth of experience from organisations such as Nissan, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

Focusing specifically on the ongoing implementation of first-rate procedures and processes at the Coventry site, David will also take the lead on further developing the wider team’s skills and capabilities.

Kobelco Construction Machinery to Build Facility in North America

Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. has decided to construct a hydraulic excavator production factory in South Carolina, United States. The new factory will be incorporated into its North American subsidiary, Kobelco Construction Machinery U.S.A. Inc. (“KCMU”) which already operates in North America. With this factory construction, KCMU will be reorganized into a company with integrated production and sales.

After concluding an official purchase agreement for the planned construction site, we will begin site preparation from April this year, construct a building, install machines and equipment, and complete the construction in December, then commence mass production of 20t model from January, 2016.

Kobelco Construction Equipment further expands dealer network in Germany

Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. is continuing its fast, yet controlled European dealer network expansion with the appointment of F.R. Baumaschinen GmbH. A recently signed agreement between the two companies further extends the growing network in Germany.

F.R.Baumaschinen GmbH joins an already established German network, which includes EMB Baumaschinen GmbH, KARI Baumaschinen GmbH and Herbers Baumaschinen GmbH & Co. KG. The German KCME dealer coverage is split into four different areas
