Keltbray Group Launches Reinforced Concrete Frame Division

Keltbray Group, which is a UK leading specialist business that offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail and environmental services, today announced that the company has launched a reinforced concrete frame business named Keltbray Structures.

Keltbray decided to launch the business after acquiring some of the assets of Dunne Group from the Administrators of the Dunne Group, which went into administration in July and has ceased trading.

Dunne Group specialised in reinforced concrete foundations and superstructures for buildings. While Keltbray has not taken over Dunne Group as a going concern, or taken on any of its former contracts with clients, by acquiring some of the Dunne Group assets, Keltbray is strengthening its capability and services portfolio to provide demolition, groundworks, piling and concrete structures solutions as integrated or standalone services.

Blue Group Secures Multi-Million Pound Finance Package from HSBC

• Equipment finance facility will help company expand its services to customers

• Funding is part of HSBC’s £700m commitment to supporting SME growth in the South West

The Bristol business, Blue Group, that sells heavy plant equipment to the waste and quarrying industries has secured a multi-million pound equipment finance facility from HSBC, helping it further support its customer base by offering a rental option on its products.

Blue Group, which sells almost £2 million worth of equipment to businesses across the UK each week, is using the funding to purchase its own stock which can be hired by companies that need instant access to machinery.

Since early 2014, when Blue Group and Dmac Engineering combined their expertise and resources to create bespoke MRF manufacturing specialist, BlueMAC Manufacturing, the company has gone from strength to strength and seen a remarkable level of growth. Building on this success and looking to further its expansion programme, BlueMAC is now pleased to announce that it has appointed SKALA Australasia Pty Ltd as the exclusive distributor of BlueMAC products and services throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

This partnership heralds new exporting opportunities into sophisticated and discerning markets for BlueMAC in partnership with SKALA – already a well-established equipment supplier and solutions provider for the recycling, mining, bulk materials and industrial processing sectors. Even at this early stage in the relationship, BlueMAC already has two plants in build for SKALA customers and when these are commissioned later in the year they will be two of Australia’s largest C&D processing facilities.

New headquarters for CONTROLS Group

Many important events for the Italian company, CONTROLS GROUP, occured in 2015, but the biggest is surely their change of headquarters after 30 years at the historic base at Cernusco sul Naviglio, which can no longer meet the growing productive needs of the company.

The new plant is located in Liscate, a small town in a logistically strategic position, just 17 km from the centre of Milan and at the intersection of two major new motorway networks.

Topcon announces partnership with Ascending Technologies for UAS worldwide distribution

Topcon Positioning Group announces a worldwide distribution partnership with Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) provider Ascending Technologies. The agreement gives Topcon exclusivity for the global distribution of the AscTec®Falcon 8 rotary-wing model, the GeoEXPERT and the InspectionPRO sensing and feature packages.

Haulotte Group Financials Show Reason to be Optimistic

The French Comnpany, Haulotte Group, has published its financial results for 2014. In the report, the company says that during 2014 the global market for aerial work platforms saw growth in all continents except Latin America. Against this background, Haulotte Group saw revenue growth of 20% between 2013 and 2014, due to Asia-Pacific area (+33%),Europe (+29%) and North America (+28%).

Excluding forex gains and losses, current operating income from continuing operations amounted to 7.7% of revenue against 5.2% for fiscal 2013. The increase is mainly due to:

• the impact of additional volumes on gross margin,
• improved performance of industrial operations,
• an increase in contribution from service activities.
