CNH Industrial Announces New Appointment in EMEA Region

CNH Industrial announced today the appointment of Andy Blandford, who is taking responsibility for Case and New Holland Construction in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in sales and operations to his new role which he developed while working with major players in the industry.

Mario Gasparri leaves his position to take responsibility for all Group brands and segments of CNH Industrial in South Africa.

CNH Industrial Announces New Licensing Agreement with Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery

CNH Industrial N.V. has agreed to enter into a new licensing agreement with Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd.

Under this new technology license and component supply agreement, CNH Industrial will manufacture Sumitomo designed crawler excavators (models ranging from 13 to 35 tonnes) at designated plants within its manufacturing network. Start of production of the new localized models is planned for mid-2016.

This agreement also extends the existing Global Product Supply (OEM) agreement between CNH Industrial and Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery for the sourcing of excavators from Sumitomo plants.

Sumitomo has been a supplier to the CNH Industrial global distribution network since 1992 for models ranging from 7 to 80 tonnes. This next step will further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.

CNH Announces New Appointment for its Construction Equipment Business

Following the recent announcements by CNH and Kobelco, concerning the terminating of their agreement, CNH announced today the appointment of Mario Gasparri as Head of the CNH Construction Equipment business in the newly created Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region.

This appointment is additional to his role of Brand President of Case Construction and New Holland Construction that was announced last November as part of the Fiat Industrial new organization.

Mr. Gasparri served as General Manager of CNH International since September 2010 with responsibility for CNH’s agricultural and construction brands in Africa, the Middle East, CIS, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, with a special focus on China, Turkey, India and Japan. He has held a variety of roles in several Fiat companies for the past 24 years, including the positions of Managing Director of New Holland India and the Asia Pacific markets and Vice President of Agricultural Equipment Commercial Operations, CNH International.

CNH to Invest in New Plant in Brazil

CNH signed a Memorandum of Understanding today with the state of Minas Gerais (Brazil) to lay the groundwork for a R$600 million investment in a new construction equipment plant in Montes Claros, in the northern region of Minas Gerais. The Memorandum was signed at Fiat Industrial’s headquarters in Turin, Italy, during a visit by a Minas Gerais state government delegation, led by Governor Antonio Anastasia.

“This agreement strengthens our ties to the state of Minas Gerais and reconfirms a commitment started 40 years ago with Fiat’s first investments in the region. Minas Gerais holds a prominent place in the Brazilian economy and therefore is an ideal location for Fiat Industrial, and for CNH in particular, to grow in Brazil,”

said Sergio Marchionne, Chairman of Fiat Industrial and CNH.

CNH Announces Key Appointment – Mario Gasparri, will become President of CNH Construction Equipment

CNH Global N.V. the agricultural and construction equipment businesses, today announced that CNH International General Manager, Mario Gasparri, will become President of CNH Construction Equipment, effective April 1, 2012.

He replaces James McCullough, who will retire at the end of this month. Mr. Gasparri and Mr. McCullough will begin their transition immediately.

Franco Fusignani, CEO of CNH International SA, will assume the general management of the business activities previously handled by Mr. Gasparri. Mr. Fusignani will continue in his capacity as President and CEO of New Holland Agricultural Equipment.

New Holland Construction withdrawing heavy line from North America

In a statement issued by New Holland Construction the company announced that in North America it will refocus on its strengths: the compact product lines for the landscaping, utility, residential construction and agriculture industries, among others.

As a result, starting in 2012, New Holland Construction will begin withdrawing from the North American market its crawler dozers, motor graders, 80+ horsepower wheel loaders, 6+ ton excavators, and telescopic handlers. New Holland Construction will continue to offer compact products and associated attachments, including the successful skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, tractor loaders, loader backhoes, compact wheel loaders, and compact excavators.

EUROPE: New Holland’s 2011 operator challenge to involve energy saving

The European New Holland’s Grand Prix is back and started off with the first event in Italy on April 16th. This year’s edition of the popular competition will take the brand’s latest models to construction equipment operators around Europe including the UK, which will host two regional events.

This year’s edition of the Grand Prix is all about performance and fuel efficiency. Participants of the competition will tackle a series of challenges on the latest models, which will include the new C Series wheel loaders and crawler excavators, the new 200 series skid steer loaders and the upgraded backhoe loaders.
