Manitowoc announce Mike Heacock VP of North American tower crane sales

Mike Heacock has been named vice president of sales for Manitowoc’s Potain tower crane line in North America. He will be responsible for sales of all Potain products, as well as distribution management and major accounts management in the region.

Heacock brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the crane industry. Prior to his position with Manitowoc, he worked for 10 years at Coast Crane, most recently as the general manager of the west coast dealer’s tower crane group.

Heacock will report directly to David Hull, senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America.

NIBM to sell Potain top-slewing cranes in Belgium

Manitowoc announced that NIBM will sell Potain top-slewing cranes in Belgium. NIBM currently sells Potain cranes in the Netherlands and the Northrhine-Westphalia region of Germany.

NIBM will provide full Manitowoc Crane Care support for top-slewing Potain cranes, not only new cranes sold by NIBM, but to all top-slewing Potain cranes in Belgium.

BLE, Manitowoc’s long-established Belgian dealer, will continue to sell and service Potain self-erecting cranes and Grove mobile cranes. BLE will also offer full Manitowoc Crane Care support for self-erecting cranes and Grove mobile cranes. Manitowoc Crane Care includes full parts and service support plus a range of other services.

Adri Van Groningen, commercial director for Benelux and Israel at Manitowoc Cranes, said the new arrangement would bring additional resources to customers in Belgium.

Manitowoc name Maslizek VP of North American crawler and mobile hydraulic crane sales

Manitowoc Cranes has named Joe Maslizek as the new vice president of sales for Manitowoc crawler cranes and Grove mobile hydraulic cranes in North America.

Maslizek will oversee sales in North America for Grove and Manitowoc cranes, including distribution management and major accounts management in the region. He will report to David Hull, senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America.

Hull said that Maslizek’s industry knowledge will serve him well in his new role.

“Joe has been in the lifting industry for over two decades — half of that with Manitowoc,” he said. “His knowledge of our cranes, customers and the North American market is a valuable asset to our company.”

USA: Western Pacific Crane & Equipment new dealer for Manitowoc

Western Pacific Crane and Equipment has been named the new exclusive distributor of Manitowoc, Grove and National Crane in western North America and the South Pacific.

They will represent the full line of Manitowoc Cranes including: Manitowoc lattice boom cranes, Grove mobile telescopic cranes, (rough-terrain, truck, all-terrain, and industrial) and the National Crane boom truck lines.
